♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ ♡♡♡ e n t r y 07 ♡♡♡ ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡current musing: lately i have been really obsessed with this chinese discogs user from beijing named "dancemanialover." he has been a user since 2007 & is a massive collector of eurobeat dance mania records, specifically the "vibration megamix" series. all of his comments are a bit sporadic in time, sometimes only commenting once a year, the biggest lapse of time being 3 years. all of his comments are usually critiques or observations, always making note how a certain mix of a release is either the wrong one or an extended mix. i'd really want to know what his life is like & how he got into collecting dance mania records, what his favorite tracks are & how he dances to them. i'd also like to know what his collection is like. discogs has an option to view one's collection, but i doubt it's accurate for dancemanialover. i'm sure he has more than he is willing to tell. he seems extremely cool. he has his personal fb linked in his discogs account, but i'm too much of a coward to send him a friend request. i don't even use fb anymore anyway.
through dancemanialover's account, i discovered "ni-ni," who is a danish bubblegum eurodance act that released one album called "mermaid" in 2001. one of the tracks, "spacy crazy girl" is really silly, but fun. dancemanialover, however, states that, "there's still a ni-ni song unreleased, "spacy crazy girl (longhorn remix)". the song "spacy crazy girl" on this album is not this remix version." i like to imagine him listening to this track on his downtime somewhere in beijing. i did some digging on yt and found a vid of some canadian kids dancing to the song on a ~in the groove 2~ arcade machine (originally released in 2005). the vid starts with a friend yelling, "thIs macHiNe r hAx x__x," which is painfully 2006 for me, it catapulted me back to middle school.
